F-toy #024 'The Mistress" Rebuild

We purchased this F-toy from member M1 a few months ago. Not wanting to tear into it for a rebuild during the move to our new Home and Shop we didnt start till a week ago. So here is some pics of it. I would call it progress but we are still in the tear down state.

Plans for it as of now is.

Lower seats "head is to close top of cage"
Push pedals forward 4-6 inches
Raise transfer case cross member between frame rails for a "flater belly"
Refloor complete buggy
Move switches and igniton switch to tunnel "reachable while harnessed in"
Mount 2 Lite cylinders in rear.
Harness mounts
Stereo and CB mounting
X brace behind seats with shoulder bar
Roof panel "Zeus fastened"
Hood panel "Zeus fastened"
Boat side panels
PSC P/S Pump,Cooler and Reservoir "stock pump sucks with hydro assist"

i see three reservoirs for the brake/clutch on the orange one. did you trick out your brakes?

It is a Tilton all manual brake/clutch pedal assy. Clutch,Front brakes,Rear brakes all have there own Cylinder. Might have to do some master changing. Has 7/8in bore for clutch 7/8in for front brakes and a 1in bore for rear brakes.
I bought it this way and it all works but havent got it out to see how well all of it works.

Looking good man. Nice to see that ugly/heavy floor and storage tub go away. I was not looking forward to fixing up the previous owners work when I had it. I still have that turbo if your interested, and I'm also making some custom switch panels that I know you would like. I don't have a vendor star yet so call or text me for details.

Finally got the rest of the floor and firewall cut out. Off to another fab guy for removable aluminum floor boards,dash and tunnel this week. Then some seat mount placement and pedals placement and possibly a tilt column. Damn this stuff takes forever!

I got a little reminder yesterday another board member "drewp" from out of town text and came by for a beer to check it out. He thought he was going to see a finished product. It was a reminder that I'm taking way to damn long!!!!!!!

I broke my front driveshaft carrier bearing mount one day at KOH.

I was so thankful for easily removeable seats, belts, floors, and belly pan. It was an easy ~2hr fix, and I wasn't working that hard.

Double-shear mount your seats and use clip-in harness buckles!!!

oh btw we camped between medford and grants pass that night and damn that was a rainy night...but super fun!

Dropped the F-toy off Night before last. Spring hangers fixed already. Floor was being started today. I will get pics next time out to sheet metal guys place.

Went to try to figure out seat position tonight!! Adjusters would be nice but I don't have any head room as it is.

if you are very tall at all I would re-think those seats, I am 6'4'' and I have the same ones. My shoulders are at the top of the headrest and my harnesses come in way to low below my shoulders even when I am way sucked down in the seat.
Try PRP's, they can make them extra tall

I am 6 ft and 290lbs. Probably not the optimum seat for me but they are comfortable and I already have them so we will see how they work out for now.
