Blingest Toy brakes ever ?
This is the Wilwood brake set up my brother came up with for his son's single seat, toy axle buggy. Nice!! It's direct bolt up with no adapters.

I'll get all part numbers tomorrow. Stock hub, 6 shooter knucks.

It's Spidertrax rotor and hat with a little machined off the rotor, hub od slightly machined, Wilwood caliper with a little machining but no adapters needed. Almost $2k for all 4 corners. I'm thinking folks won't be lining up for the kit?!

My brother James. He's the builder/fabricator and obsesses over every little detail until it's beyond perfect whereas I like my rigs well built but I'd rather get it done and DRIVE IT !!

Is that something he'd do again?
If so would I source all the parts and send them or just buy a ready to run kit from him? My brakes have always been just ok, I want them to be really good.

Let him get this set up and running and I'm sure he'd be glad to make another one. It'll be a month or two.

oh snaps, looks great.
are these larger, lighter, more vented (besides the cross drilling) than stock rotors/calipers?

Curious how much he took off the rotor, looks like he may have started with the smaller ones. What's the dia?

I believe that these are the smaller rotors. He had to cut off the outside edge into the outer vent holes.

looks sweet with very little machine work to make it happen. i would have thought it would have been easier to just bore out the center of the hat since your machineing down the outside of the rotor though?

So, I might be missing something here, but what does this accomplish/gain besides bling?
Couldn't you just cross drill a stock SA solid rotor into swiss cheese like that and throw some decent pads into the stock caliper? (which is a pretty nice 4 piston unit to begin with IMO, esp compared to domestic Ford/Chevy/Dodge floating single piston setups) If the setup is for bling only, then that's fine too I guess

Lighter, stronger, blinger. Not offering to sell these. Only posted because I thought they were cool. If you don't like them then stick with what you like and shut the fawk up.
