Fuel Cell Size

Since the vast majority of the use for our Formula 4 will be trail rides & non-comp rock crawling, I need to decide what size fuel cell to install. Let me know the size of your tank, and how satisfied you are with its volume. I was thinking 12-15 gallons.

I use a stock 11 gallon tank out of a 95 2wd pickup. Works well for me, usually add 10 gallons to it over a 3 day weekend at the Hammers, which takes me home almost full.

I put in a 15 gallon tank, I could go 2 days of wheeling on it at the hammers or moab with fuel to spare, but I usually top it off before I head out anyways.

Thanks for the input. I am now leaning toward the bigger tank (15-gal), since it would be nice toi have the extra capacity when it's needed.

This is the cell I used. I guess it was a 16 gallon, when I bought it I expected a black one but got a red tin can and was the same cell polyperformance was selling.

When I got it in Feb. last year when it came it looked exactly the same as the JAZ fuel cell that polyperformance is selling. I am even thinking it came in a JAZ box but can't be 100% sure, but I think it did, because I remeber being quite pleased about it... it appears to be the same bladder, bolts, filler cap etc.

They also sell all the fittings and hoses at a good price.

Speedway motors really wants to keep their customers happy to, I ordered all my steering ujoints and hiems supports, they sent me the wrong hiems 5/8" instead of 3/4" the packages were labeled correct just the wrong part, no hassle what so ever they sent me new ones and I got to keep the old ones
