Tin Benders Formula Toy Raffle Rig
We are still assembling the Formula Toy that we plan to raffle offf at our Johnson Valley Cleanup run in April. We got alot done this last weekend trying to get ready for the Off Road Expo in Pomona Ca. on October 8th. If you want to see it in person, we will be in the Interco Tire booth at the Expo selling raffle tickets. Oh, did I mention that it comes with a trailer painted to match? Yep, "The Trailer Guy" on pirate is kicking a complete trailer. It should be built in the next week or 2.

The plan was to get the paint started, get the motor in and get all of the aluminum work done.
Check out the wheels. We got them curtesy of MRW. They are 17x9 powder coated "polished aluminum".

LC Engineering teamed up with Cary at Got Propane to buld a bad ass 22r for the rig. Jay at LC Engineering really came through for us by convincing their miracle crew to build a motor made to run propane. they accomplished this by upping the compression, matching a cam to our application, recurving the distributor and working on the intake/exhaust ports. Jay figures this motor will put out 130hp.
They not only gave us this motor for the rig, but they also put together a display motor for us to show at all of the events.

We decided to put the propane tanks behing the seats and fab up a storage area in the back out of aluminum. That was my job for the weekend.

Here is the mock up of the propane tanks. We pointed Fat Kid at the bender and told him to see how many bends he could put in one piece of tubing.

While Fatty and I were busy fabbing, Mustard Dog and Flash worked on the paint and putting the motor in.

The propane mixer/condenser thingy mounted up nice. It came from Got Propane with literally everything down to the last hose clamp.

MD had a good idea to put an expanded metal floor in the back so dirt will just fall out the bottom. Flash made it happen.
