Has anybody tried any seats wider than the 36 for the rear of these things? Just wondering whats the widest I can put back there.

The formula 4 chassis is made for 4 full size men. There is the same amount of room in the back area as there is in the front. The regular Formula Toy isn't really made to put 4 people in but you can put a kids seat (or 2) or a bench. There is 50" from side to side. I'm sure you can get a little bigger seat in there. The problem is foot room.

that could be a good idea...would give the back seaters alot of leg room...just make sure you protect them for the driveshaft and other spinning objects.

You definetly can go wider than 36" there is room to spare in mine, I have a 36" Beard bench and without going outside and measuring I'm sure I could easily of gone with a 40" wide seat, maybe wider if I bent my own seat bar instead of the seat bar installed by hendrix.
