Window nets
Anyone have a good recomendation for a window net and mount that fit's the opening of an F-Toy pretty well. I have only found one place here in Tucson that carries that sort of stuff, and they don't have much.
Pics if you got them... Thanks, Pat |

i have seen all different size among the ftoys in window nets. matt runs the spegetti wire window net which is easier to see out of. the one i run is the full size of the window which made it easier to mount. for the bottom mount, i ran a peice of flat bar thru the net and then pop rivoted the ends into the chassis on the inside of the frame. for the top i ran a piece of small round solid, thru the window net and welded one side to a seat belt buckle. then welded the tab for the buckle on the inside of the A pillar on the chassis. i welded a piece of bushing tube that i had laying around to the other side for the peice of round solid to go into before i buckle it. its so solid you can hang on the window net.

Thanks Hobie! Here is a little bit of what I have found. Anyone use these? http://www.stockcarproducts.com/safety8.htm
I'm just out of time right now to get this done. Can I just use ratchet straps and get in from the pass side?

The net you found is like mine. I mounted mine like Hobies on the top but on the bottom mount I welded bushings at each end that I slide round bar thru and hose clamp on both ends. this way I can take the net off when not needed

Window Netting
Check with Robbie at Mastercraft. He will make them to size.

No time for pics yet, I'm too busy trying to get my junk ready for this Vegas.
I ended up getting a window net and mount from Summit. It was about as simple as it gets to put in. The part numbers are BOB-1000 for the net http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku And BOB-90906 for the mounting kit http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku It includes everything you will need to mount to a F-toy chassis. I'll put up a couple pics next week. |

I got mine from summit with the install kit cheap. I got the mesh one, not to be confused with the string net.
