Its alive!!
Alot of progress this weekend. Got the control panel mounted and wired up. It's a mock up in sheet metal, hopefully if time allows, will be done right in aluminum, but for now its crude but functional. I incorporated the Kill switch and attaches to the (dash)bar down by the hood. For functionality all the wiring is done, Gauges, temp and oil senders, winches, starter, alt, ignitor, and propane solenoid. After a bit of tinkering and few dozen more pirate4x4 searches it finally came alive.
So now that its running its time to tackle the brakes. Got some new pads to throw on, lines to make, and some linelocks to install. Then hook up the CO2 tank to the ARB's.Anyone running a Rear proportioning valve? I have one on my trail truck but wasnt sure if I needed one for in the F-toy? I am running the FJ80 1" bore master cylinder in the F-toy and the Trail truck I have a 4runner V6 1" bore MC? Here are some pics of the progress. Thanks for the compliments..
Funny you say that it actually was just one of those "screw trying to get fancy" moments. Just simple and functional. We kept on thinking of the best ways to mount it to the tcase with an aluminum shroud. But after WAY too much thinkin we just said screw it grab me that angle and pipe and welded it. But we took the time to tap screw holes for the metric bolts. As 99% of the buggy is all threaded. Hardly any nuts used except for springs and tcase x-member. Got the linelock bracket fabbed last night and lines run from the MC to the linelocks and to the front and back axle. Tonight will make up the brake lines on the axle housings to the discs.

Spence and I got the brakes installed and bled last night.
Except for the knucklehead who lost the pins and springs to the Passenger side caliper ) Should be able to grab some hardware today. Gotta re-bleed the rear calipers by taking them off and tilting the bleeder screw to the top. I had the same issue on my trail truck with the Monte Carlo disc setup. Then hopefully the rear line lock will disengage properly. The front works fine. I will definitely need to do some beefing up on the petal setup. I got way too much movement when I jam on the brake for those O' sh*t moments. Forgot my camera at the house.. pics soon.

I've got rear discs in my 4Runner, and need to pull off the LSPV and try an adj. prop valve on it--I'm not happy with the rear braking effort on it.

While the f-toy was at the muffler shop I got mine almost ready for SE4RJ. Beefed up the frame behind the BudBuilt cross member and tied the 1/4 plate into the Chevy spring hangers to help scrape over the rocks. Made a new heavy duty drive shaft, & replaced my broken e-brake cable. Maybe find time tomorrow to get it to the muffler shop to replace the busted cat from River rock. Pretty sure we will have the F-toy ready for a test run this weekend.

I ended up short cutting and using a pre-made gauge pod. Figured it was what I wanted the aluminum one to look like anyhow.. saved a bunch of time too.
![]() ![]() ![]() Got the exhaust wrapped up last night ![]() The line locks installed... I will be adding a proportioning valve in there too so it may be changed around a bit.

It's a fawkin' great feeling to hear your FToy running after all that hard work, isn't it?!?! When I met Mike Hendricks @ KOH, I thanked him for the project and the nice chassis--and told him I had absolutely no idea how much work it was going to be. He grinned, and said, "you forgot all about that the first 10 seconds you drove it, didn't you?" I laughed: "YES I DID!!" See you on the trail!! ..and buckle up!

This FToy is PIMP
![]() Im on the work computer and cant upload the video, but this buggy made my truck look like shit. Take how much better my truck climbs that a Heep on tons, and that is how much better his buggy climbs than my truck ![]() ![]() Ive never been impressed with the rockwelled, 454, 47", buggies that are common around here, but I am deffintly impressed with this buggy. I dont know if it was the stickies, the weight, or what (I know it wasnt the driver ) but it clearly pulled some lines that none of us in the trucks could. I was ready to cut mine up after the 3rd hill ![]() ![]() Congrats Mark on a CLEAN and pimp FToy

Some jackass dosen't know how to work a camera
, But I saw what I considered to be two preaty capable yotas get embarassed on boat ramp. On any given day on the trail I feel like my 37ed tired yota will hang with almost anybody (with me at the wheel of coarse), but this thing super crawled boat ramp open front and rear never breaking idol. We both gave it 5 or 6 full throtle 2nd 3rd gear trys with no results. He also crawled up several other hills with ease. Like Clay said I dont know if its the weight or the tires or what but wow. I know I yeld up the hill at my wife to ask if I could take out a loan to buy some stickies and I got a very quick Yes . I think she wants my Irocs. You could tell mark was preaty happy with it after almost a year of work. |

Mark CRAWLED Boatramp TWICE, and all I get is a clip of him backing down it
![]() Im ashamed. ![]() If you watch closely, you can see him crawl a quite a few places and our trucks (which I used to think were badass ![]() ![]() ) either struggle, or not go up at all.YouTube - SE4RJ6 SouthEast 4Runner Jam 2009 Chocolooco Mountian
