East Coast Ftoys invade Gulches
Four ftoys on site for the 3rd in a series of four comps.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE SHOW. Smokescreens were popular all day. We were hoping the judges could not see the cones we were smashing. ![]() After the smoke clears ![]() The beginning of Adams crowd thrilling double roll. ![]() Cool and methodical all day. Marc ends up in second place. ![]() There is an Ftoy in that cloud of smoke that ended up in 3rd place for the day. ![]() Oh there it is ![]() I had a great time guys. Hope to see you again real soon.

Um, I need more info on this comp. How'd everybody end up? Who all was there? Looks like you had a good time. Adam did double roll increase or decrease selling price of your rig?!

I had a blast out there this weekend. I stopped by your truck and was asking a few questions about your rig after the first round was over.
I have already gotten ahold of center about doing some work on my Toy. |

Spence and I had an absolute BLAST!!
We decided last minute Friday night to go. I grabbed dinner, Got the f-toy loaded, packed the Excursion and by 4AM we were on the road with little to no sleep. Pulled in at 8:30AM, unloaded and competed until 9PM and hit the road for a 1AM arrival home. Awesome courses, crowd and competitors! We planned to take it easy and have fun as neither one of us had ever been to this place. Got a lucky draw for start position and ended up with a 2nd place finish. Wish we had more time to explore this park. Definitely planning to go back. Maybe when we all go back on Sept 26th we will stay through Sunday to do some wheelin. Still gotta understand the scoring better.. (not sure how the 1st place guy flopped and DNF'd at the first gate on the first course and still scored better?)

Scoring starts at 100 and then deductions are incurred for backs (3points) and cones. 10 points.
Sorry, I was in it for the show and paid very little attention to the scores all day. I think you timed or pointed out on a course. That would make one of your runs a 40 or DNF also. (could be wrong? you were smooth and consistent all day)

As Skip explained during the driver's meeting, you get a minimum of 40 points for entering the course. Although you completed the course, backs and gates brought your score down to the 50's.
On the second course, I hit 2 gates at 10 points each, and had no backs, which gave me the high score in that course, and reduced your lead to less than 10 points. On the final run, I had 3 backs at 3 points each which was enough to give me a small lead. I definitely had the "Home Court" advantage, which was one of the reasons I was sharing best line info with you for the final event. You gave me a helluva hard run and I greatly enjoyed having you make me sweat. I don't think I could get the advantage over you again.

We certainly didnt plan at all to be in any sort of contention to place. We figured you and Wes would whoop up on us but we would have fun regardless and we absolutely did.
![]() ![]() Win or loose.... Again we had a blast and will get some better strategy together for the next one. ![]() ![]() It would be great to have some sort of scorecard in hand to see how you are scored on each course(like WE-rock does.) That way you can see the points you got scored after each course. But this whole discussion is better left to a different forum.... Miller and Wes you guys are both #1, We really appreciate you showing us around.

Can't wait until sept. For the next comp. Everyone put on a great show. I've got a big hole to dig myself out of due to the rollover on the second course. Hope to see everyone return for the last comp.
