OK! progress.....
with the cage and headliner protected, capped the lid! I wanted to use the back of the roof and bring it forward,.... but to push the "B hoop" as far back as I could and bring the bulkhead as far forward as I could,.... I had to come up with a more abrupt line....

transitioning the factory floor at the worst possible spot, to a verticle flat piece of sheet metal ... was a bitch!
had to make a step for it to sit on. With all the undercoating and the irregular surface, I decided to use a sealer and bolt the step down...

As for repainting I'm torn between two ideas. I do have a set of cherry doors and front fenders that happen to be an exact color match from a parts rig I picked up a few years ago. I could bolt those on, paint the roof white and just color match and blend what bare sheet metal remains. Or I could say fawk it and do a color change.
The quality of how the cab is turning out has FAR exceeded my expectations...( I expected good work, but not as Pimp as it's turning out). So this has me thinking investing a little more in paint wouldn't be a terrible idea. Damn you Don! Can't wait to see what next week brings...
