the plan..... cut the thing into the shortest "pick up" cab we can. This means not moving the stock tailgate and widow forward, (due to shape and angle) but fabing from scratch, a flat, near verticle back with a flat window and sm 1/4 windows..... but not before stuffing a cage in it
![]() eventually, it will have an enclosed door/drawer system flatbed and a rooftop tent, fridge and all of Bretts gear should fit flat within the doors/drawers and NOT exceed the stock frames length. The tube work that supports the tent will follow the back corners of the cab, so the "boxed" look of the cap wont look to bad at all once its all done.... if my rambling dosent make sence, or you just have no imagination..... Brett has it all sketched out on a napkin! maby he can post it

Nice to see this one going, maybe cutting up this wagon will keep yours in one piece for a bit longer. Looking forward to the build.

Don's favorite part of a build... cutting it apart
![]() It is pictures like the above that make my piggy scared of a needed return trip. Go in for a new crossmember, leave missing half the sheetmetal ![]()

Sketch
Guys...I will post up my napkin sketch as soon as I can get to a scanner. Pretty excited about the project...the idea is to almost copy Mudraks 45 but with a 62 front end. Cant wait to see that cage!!

I have a complete rear 45 short wheelbase fixed cab rear panel if you really want it to look like mudraks! Complete with dual sliding windows! This would be very cool, let me know I can bring it to the stockton swap meet!

The Plan
Ok...I will post this but nobody can make fun of my shitty art skills :-)
As I said, copying Mudraks design, but with some tweeks. I'm leaning towards building a box out of aluminum then having Don build a frame to mount the box and my tent. Here is the list of shit that will fit in a 5'2" x 5'2" x 18" box; (yes, I have laid everything out and it'll fit) ARB 32 quart fridge on a slide 2 gal LPG tank Husqvarna chainsaw box 2 large action packers 22" Partner cook stove Solaire grill Drifta (car back model) kitchen that will slide out 2 camp chairs, table, shower enclosure etc All that stuff will fit tight in there, so with the drop-down sides up and closed everything has a home and I won't have to tie anything down. On top of the box I can strap down my EZ up awning (which happens to be 5'2" long) and Soft bags On top of it all is the Maggiolina tent (same one Gary has, but longer) and two 4' ARB awnings (one per side) Under the tent I also want to mount some LED lights and speakers Under the main frame and box: ExtremeAire compressor and 2lb tank Slide out drawer w/ HD slides for tools and spares Also doing a Helton heat exchanger for endless hot H20 That's about it for phase one. Phase two will be to do something about the tired old 3FE under the hood....thinking a 1HZ diesel would sound really nice in there....accepting donations now :-)
