Well I met Bobby when he was handing out PINK flyers at events in the late 90's for super birfs and have run his stuff ever since and have always enjoyed a beer or two with him when he was at events. He is a great guy and has always treated me awesome.

Sooo after a nice chat with bobby and having the shafts in front of him here is this info...

fj 80 long side...34 1/8
fj 80 short side...17 3/4

Now the imports numbers, seal surface lengths...

fj 80 short side, end of shaft to mid seal surface...14 1/4
fj 80 long side, end of shaft to mid seal surface...30 5/8

Just for fun im going to add fj 60 info for future searches...

fj 60 short side, end of shaft to mid seal surface...14 1/2
fj 60 long side, end of shaft to mid seal surface...28 5/8

So as mentioned earlier if a person adds 2" to the long side of the housing you will be in the middle of the seal surface of a factory shaft making it easy to keep the stockers as spares.

Hope this info helps and it was just fun chatting with Bobby. He realy thinks this will be a light but strong set up!
