AH HEM. PLEASE STAY CALM WHILE I HIJACK THIS THREAD FOR A MOMENT. NO ON WILL BE HARMED.
NOW THEN, WHILE YOUR TALKING ABOUT UBOLTS, I DONT SUPPOSE YOU HAVE A NAPA PN FOR GOOD U BOLTS WITH ENOUGH LENGTH AND THREAD THAT YOU CAN USE THEM ON BOTH FRONT AND REAR SPRING PACKS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ONE LONG PASS SIDE ONE, DO YOU JERIMIAH?

There are two factors that contribute to the death wobble:
1) excess play in anything that locates the wheel (wheel bearings, knuckle bearings, tie rod ends, steering box and linkage, U bolts, spring bushings.) 2) Alignment. Excesive toe in or toe out (this provides high side to side force). Caster too close to zero (no self centering force). You need to eliminate both factors. |

a buddy of mine had a very similar problem but in a early bronco and the shake was so bad that once it started you actually had to pull over and stop in order to get it to go away and as we tried to work our way through all the possible problems it was getting worse and worse every day to the point where it would almost rip the wheel out of your hand if you did not stop fast enough we have replaced everything except the power steering box and that is on order and we are pretty sure that this will solve the problem as we believe that whats happening is there is a worn spot in the box where it has worn through the case hardening and now is bouncing back and forth horribly anyways bla bla bla try the box and let me know thanks

check caster for sure. Even if you diconnected all your steering components, your caster angle would allow you to go down the road straight, without vibration. If caster is good, then check your toe alignment. If you have a toe in or toe out, and bad kingpin bearings, you have a wobble happening.

What is with the low fill plug on your diff??? SOA does look clean Had a nice touch getting all the original brackets off with out destroying them. Looks good. Maybe I'll get back to Texas in a relatively short period of time, and we can wheel together. I been gone to long. (sniff, sniff). See ya, Whoop!!! ![]() -D
