Anyone Know Whats Up With This Flange?

AS FAR AS I KNOW, ROUND FLANGES ON CRUISERS ARE NOT STOCK. ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MINE?

AFTER I GROUND THE HUGE ASS NOTCH IN IT , I THOUGHT, IF ITS THE SAME BOLT PATTERN, CAN'T I JUST SWAP IT THE THE REAR OUTPUT AND GRIND THE CORNERS OF THE ONE ON THE REAR NOW? HOW CLOSE HAVE YOU GUYS GROUND TO THE BOLT HOLES? I REALLY DONT WANT TO TAKE MORE OUT OF THE TRANNY.

Aren't round flanges on later FJ60 cruisers?

All I know is you need the "small" drive shaft bolt pattern to work with that setup. If you have that with your round flange then it doesn't matter if it round or square, you grind it as small as possible.

I think the damn SM420 castings vary considerable. I had the grind a lot of material out of mine.
