This weekend's project RTI ramp

We built an RTI ramp this weekend. Just had to do it.

The material is 6X4 aluminum bus. Used in electrical sub stations to carry about 80,000KVW. As the picts show, it's pretty thick.

Nice! Any idea on how much it weighs??? I have a friend of mine that built one out of solid steel and it is a pain in the butt to move.

I know, the only time I remember to do it is when I'm posting pics...then it's too late.

Not yet, but I'm going to weigh it tomorrow. 4 guys can pack it around with some difficulty.

The one I have has an axle under it that can be raised to set the ramp on the ground and a removeable hitch for towing it.
