Sean is headed to Kuwait City and then either Hong Kong or China. He was more concerned about his Asian stop then Kuwait. That sickness is pretty bad.

We think a dude at work had that sickness...his wife is a nurse and he was over in China about 1.5 months ago and came back and was really really sick...she said he had all the symptons...he lived...i guess about 90% of the ppl that get it live...but thats still 10% to many that don't live.....and i still wouldn't want to take any chances....

cruiser content: my cruiser xfer(s) are in pieces and my tranny makes werid noises...and i want to go wheeling next week....guess i should get my arse to the shop instead of out with the woman...

I've been out of country!! Went to Charlie South on the 2nd, Milan on the 3rd, Kuwait on the 4th, spent 3 1/2 days in Dubai and just arrived in Hong Kong abut 3-4 hrs ago!!

I hooked Matt up with a TLCA membership - just trying to spread a little Cruiser Karma, and doing my part for the membership drive!

I got the Trooper. My wife got stuck in NYC on the 20th due to the snow storm in Denver, so she flew out to SLC instead and I met her on the 21st and we drove back that night!!

Yep, got to Hong Kong this morning, 215pm Wed here right now. The pax terminal was dead! Ive never seen it that empty, even late at night!!! FedEx put us at an airport hotel instead of the Sheraton downtown in Kowloon. I was also given a mask by our ramp agents when they met the lfight this morning! I'm not too confident in the mask stopping anything, touching stuff is probably more of a transmission path - I've washed my hands a gazillion times already!!

I was supposed to be on my way home on Northwest Airlines by now, but FedEx has decided NOT to deadhead people in/out of Hong Kong on passenger flights, so a bunch of stuff for us has been revised and I'm now operating to Osaka and Anchorage tomorrow night.

Longer trip, but more pay, and I'll have to miss my hockey game on Thur night!!

Went into Kuwait City just after sunrise on the 5th. Got the grand tour - flying east off the coast north then turning to land south - since Scuds and other inbounds were not a threat. But I still kept my chem suit and mask close by though!!

Spent 5 hrs on the ground waiting in line to get unloaded and get gased up!!

Here are couple more pics, no LC content, but there are som LRs. <G>

The first pic is a sequence involving a Brit MediVac. I'm not sure if they were dropping off or picking up, but it appeared that some one got on the ambie in the photos - not evident in the photos though! The helicopter flew in and taxied into the area where the two blue LRs were waiting, then the 2 green medical vehicles arrived, first stopping at the helicpoter then moving over the area where the LRs were.

This next shot is of the ramp we eventually park on. Its kind of first in first out and we had to wait over two hours to get in due to the C-5s taking forever to refuel. To the left (towards where the taxi sign - E6 - is pointing is a staging area for a butt load of C-130s, a tent city where lots of the soldiers deployed to the airport live and a couple of Patriot batteries. I couldn't get a good view of that from this spot!

Right as we were leaving a number of US pax airlines were arriving carrying troops - USAirways, ATA, UAL, etc.

Later this day, the coalition seized the Baghdad Intl Airport, and I believe that C130s landed in there that night!! The Capt I was flying with has a son flying C130s into Kuwait right now!! Also, some C130 pilots from the Nashville Air National Guard came by to visit while we unloaded - they were FedEx pilots that had been called up!

Sorry for the quality of the pics, I used my Sony digital video camera using a 30X zoom to take 1megapixel images for the the medivac pics!
