Front Blinker Pics

Does anyone have any pics of their front blinker location with the front fenders removed. Or are most people without fenders trailering their rigs? Search = notta.

Thanks Jake

Don't have any pix for ya' but the way I see it you have a few options, run 70 turn signals that mount on the side of the apron, run stud mounted round ones off the side of the apron, run and early bib and use the round running lights under the radiator opening for signals.

I put mine on the side panels (although I still have fenders, kind of).

I agree with Butch. Go for the 70 series turn signals. That's what I've got on mine and I think they look bitchin' and they seem to "fit" better than the stud style ones Butch was talking about.

another option but there are much better ones that resorting to the generic markers bolted to the bezel. This truck also has the old style front clip with the turn sigs below the headlights. That's a cool option.

Adam those are park lights on the older models, they don't blink. I have converted some to do both but it's kind of a PITA.

or later 40 series lights bolted to the side panels..

Or super cheesy sandrail lights..

I am going to lose the sandrail lights and eventually run some of the LED bolt lights.
Clean and simple.

i run LEDs, i had the 75 series ones like box rocket and they look cool, but they are for posers, first time i rolled i broke one, second time, i broke two and they are expensive units. But they look sweeet, and they match the lines, you gotta simply drill three holes.

Nice picture Mark!

I got my 70 series turn signals from a certain Land Cruiser vendor in Virginia that had a bunch from Canadian mining trucks. That was a few years ago so I don't know if they still have any.

You might check with some of the Canadians on here and see if the can get you any.

Hey Helocat,
Can you put that thing on it's wheels so I can get a better view
I like how concealed they are. Do they blink, as well as markers?

Thanks Jake

Once Rick D. resurfaces in AZ, he can probably hook you up with a pair of 70 series turnsignals, He got a pair for my friend Alex! I even have a pair already stashed for a future FJ40, but they're not for sale.

Rick got me a set as well. They are sitting in my garage at the moment. I am going to install them when I get my new fenders, so I can prep and paint the fenders, my OEM bows, OEM soft door frames, drop tailgate, and hood in one sitting.

Jake:

I will try to shoot a close up of them. At this time this is the best I have (Photo by Scott Anderson). Here is the after shot! (New body Dmg. and san's CB antana) All part of the fun. Yes you can drive on the side walls of SX's.

Do they blink and work as markers? Here is the thread on how to do it:

Let me know if you have any quetions.
