found some 45 wagons

I dont know how rare these are but i think there bad azz
found them here about the 3rd add down
there was also a extendedcab fj45 on there somewere too

Look at the prices! Typical SOR classifieds, its rare if you see something for sale thats not WAY overpriced.

I must comment on 45 wagons, since I know a little about them.

There are roughly 125 wagons left in the US, some of those should have left us (they are parts trucks, but owners cannot come to have them depart from this earth). Since, I am the head of the wagon registry I know this statistic. I would guestimate there are equal numbers of swb (some removable, some non removable tops) in the US. There are at least 3 times if not 5 times that number of lwb pick ups (and I would say 60% have tailgates and headache bars). Considering there are today at least 125, 1964 FJ40's still around, the 4+ year US production (1963-1967) 45s are all rare. On the Specter site, two 45 wagons are offered for $3,950 obo. Which, for two 35 year old station wagons (in the same place) is in the ballpark (never like $18,500 for a unrestored 1966 FJ45 lwb BS). Maybe a score can be found for one under $1,000. I doubt a truck like that will ever be back on the road. Granted, some people not only at Specter, but other sites and ebay believe their trucks to be worth a mint (remember landcruiser.com w/ $26K the average price!). I would just say to all, think about the value etc.

That being said, a clean low rust/no rust-but needing love, running, registered, 45 wagon should bring $6,000 if nearly complete. Less with body damage, rot (not 'rust'), missing stuff...etc. Same for a 'less rust' (meaning even cleaner) than above swb or lwb (original conditions). Since I have been watching 45 wagon sales, prices never spiked and unlike many other LC's have remained stable. (low, 10 cents, high $16,000 (#2 high was $9K), mean $3,200)

Rick you are too funny.For some reason I am still laughing.You speek the truth.
I thought with the present situation in the usa the price of cruisers would go down, but for now it seems they have just stabilized. THEY ARE STILL DOING BETTER THAN MY STOCKS.I should be done with the 45 (rolling not running in 3 months) I think when it is finished I will look for a bj like we discused.
Are you still working on the floorpans/body sheetmetal for the wagons.

Errr, ummm, I am stalled in the bodywork phase. I am also a bit financially held up to get things done on the wagon. Tim, the chassis is like you saw it, but I am progressing on the body slowly. A 70 series dash in a 40 series is not an easy thing. So Georg, I won't be making the run in my machine. Dough you know!?

Toytech yeah but if I sold you the old 40, then I would be back in the same place. All dead cruisers:-( I acn only have so many non-working cruisers at once. And since the 60 and 45 aren't anywhere running I need atleast one to keep me happy. So sorry no sale.

He, he, the classic "too many Cruisers dilemma"!

I love it when my friends get into these situations (often), it makes me feel better about my own stalled project. Besides, it makes me (a single-Cruiser Cruiserhead) look like a rock star in front of my wife, thus making approval of funds for my project more feasible.

I know this doesn't apply to CalFJ60, but he scored a wife who's actually into Cruisers, mine's tolerant but not an enthusiast...

Well, at least she likes them! My wife wants her own Cruiser too, but it's an FZJ80...YIKES!

You'll *definitely* see me on the other coast soon, I'm shooting for late 2002 or early 2003. Once I'm back, you won't be able to drag me back to the East Coast with wild horses...

hell if it was up to me, I would be up for a RHD with 4 doors and a stinky motor But you know how the government frowns on stuff like that. so we will hve to do without or settle on a standard U.S. one.:-(
