I need a couple dimensions before I leave work but I don't have a 40 sitting here to look at, what I need...

What is the inside dimension of the frame width where your rear output for on the transfer case comes out?

The frame height at the same location is 5" correct?

James, you might want to mention what drivetrain you are running since the frame width varies through that section. I'll help ya out.

He's got a 2F, SM420, and 3spd case.

Thanks Ken, This is actually for Kevin who is running a 350 with SM420 and 3 speed transfer case. But the frame stays the same until it starts its bend up for the rear axle. It is the lowest part of the frame.

That's funny cause I just built my skid plate and it goes from the front out put to the rear output and it gets wider the entire way... I'm pretty sure it's tapered in that part of the frame.

Ok your right, there probably is a taper there. I didn't think of that but the height which is what I thought you were refering to should stay the same until it bends up for axle clearance. Sorry man my bad

I've got a 350 w a 465 and a 3 spd tcase. How close do you think that is?
