If I knew you had that, I would of bought it from you. And I could of cared less about the issues for the price. Do what you think is right to make it work out. Camo does have a good point though.
Hope it works out for you.

that's a tough one. of course, you don't wanna be a dick and say tough luck, and the dude knew that it was sold "as is". i'd probably be inclined to meet him part way. BTW did the thing sit in the garage for 4 mos., or has it been running all this time??

Not your problem in my eyes. If he had the motor sitting in the back of his truck for a bit then just about anything could happen to it. He might have also found another one that was fawked and is tring to fawk you with it.
Tell him to pound salt in his ass........

i am with the majority here, not your responsibility. who even knows if he had a 454 that was bad and he simply swapped motors and now is yanking you.

I bought a cruiser transfer case once advertised as "rebuilt". Once I got my hands on it, turned out to be junk. Yeah, I was a litte pissed. But when you buy used parts, sometimes it's a crap shoot. If I wanted a warrenty, I would have bought it from MAF or SOR or one of the places that had a warrenty. (and I would have paid $$$$ more.) Tell him sorry, but tough luck.
For every 20 or so good deal I have had buying cruiser parts, I have had one shitty one. Cost of doing business. |
