My Cruiser Stolen???
Saturday evening I received a call from my son, Tom, on his cell phone, asking me who was driving our 1977 FJ40. I told him that nobody was, since the Cruiser was in the shop over a Faultline Fabrications in San Dimas (CA) for some front axle work. Tom informed me that the Cruiser he was following was our Cruiser, and I should report it to the police as having been stolen. I quickly called Simon at Faultline to see if the Cruiser had been stolen, but the shop was apparently already closed for the day. I then called a friend to see if he had Simon's home number, and explained why I wanted it. The friend proceeded to tell me that Simon lived in the area where my son spotted the Cruiser, and that he (Simon) probably drove it home, not wanting to park it outside his crowded shop overnight. I breathed a sigh of relief, and called my son with the good news. It was nice to know Tom was so alert, even though no crime had been committed.
I picked up the Cruiser today from Simon, and have to say the work was nothing but top-notch. By the way, Simon is not biased, and will work on any 4x4. Just a satisfied customer.

Glad to hear it! Simon is a great guy and does some nice work.
Is that a pic of him on a test run?

Credit well-deserved.
You know, that does look like Simon in the driver's seat.

Oh man, give me a heart attack. I thought you were serious.
I had a dream that my 40 got stolen, I remember loading my guns and crying.lol On that subject, My Friend had a 2000 Z/28 with a 6 speed, intercooled 10 psi centrifugal blower and some awesome 17 inch Torq thrust 2's, he was selling it and left it at a dealership his Grandpa owned, that weekend I saw it at the street races being abused by someone other than him. I cornered the guy and he stated that he worked at the dealer and had permission. I called my buddy on the spot and he had no knowledge of it, needless to say, the guy no longer works at the dealership.
