Somebody give me a cookie
ENGINE FIRED AND RAN !!!!!
Project BuiCroozer fired up today. Very inspiring! Wires spill out of the cab like a telephone junction box vomited out the door. Wires run haphazardly out of the engine bay, drooling out the side of the hood, licking up underneath to the fuel pump. The battery sits on the trailer directly underneath the engine, life support coming from the battery charger. Strategically placed cardboard and shop towels keeps vital bits from shorting together. A hole needs to be cut in the firewall for the tranny shifter. Transmission tunnel hasn't even been test fitted, surely won't fit without major sawzall work. There is no radiator at all. Likewise no clutch linkage, driveshafts, shifters for the transfer cases or muffler. One lonely wire snakes off the starter solenoid over to an open hotspot in the rest of the birds nest. Touch together, and bam, she starts. The rumble of open exhaust floats down upon my ears like the sweetest siren song. Lots to do, but I'm definitely past the halfway mark now. My most ambitious automotive undertaking to date. And the end is finally in sight! Now where's my damn cookie?! -tom |

Man that is sweetbox nubbins! That's the kind of compliment you get from a guy who has had his new Griffin Nascar aluminum radiator held in by ratchet straps for 9 months on a daily driver/trail rig. Oh yeah, no fenders either. I also have my headlight ground held dwon by locking pliers...but, hey, I don't want to steal your glory. Cookies for the house, on me.
