3 speed bell housing to 4 speed tranny
I need some help. I have a 1972 FJ40 with a chevy 350. It has a three speed tranny. I want to put in a 4 speed tranny from a 76 without buying a new bellhousing. I have the adapter/ spacer for the tranny. My question is does the slider for the throwout bearing need to be moved/or changed in any way?
The spacer has a large open area for the rear, where the throw out bearing is. But it 7/8" thick. I fear it may cause a problem. Also who has a good deal on all new brake lines, Stainless. Thanks is advance.
