The Dogs will be on CB channel 7
Not sure where we are going to camp, cause I've heard it's going to be crowded up there. It'll be either Spider or Buck Island Lake, Saturday nite. See Ya !

Don: This weekend will be crowded because of the Marlin Crawler Event, especially around Little Sluice. We are still going to take a look at doing Fordyce, but the fire may stop us. The alternate plan is to wheel into the 'Con from the Tahoe side. We will head in Friday evening and probably camp at the Springs, or maybe the top of inspiration again. Maybe we could hook up at Buck on Saturday? Will keep ya posted Ian

Hey Complaine (and Dog House)
Keep me posted on the Fordyce plans. I talked to your Dad the other day and I was planning to drive up to Fordyce late friday night and meet you guys on the trail saturday morning. I called caltrans and the sheriffs dept about the fire, and they said I-80 is open, but I couldn't get any specific answers as to whether the exit to Eagle Lakes is closed.

Craig: A buddy of mine went up to Tahoe last night and let me know this morning that it was relatively clear sailing and the smoke was not bad, in fact at Eagle Lakes Road it was fairly clear. The news reports indicate they have the blaze under controll. Overall, things look good for Fjord Ice this weekend. You have out cell nos - do you want to PM your cell no over to me so I can let you know if there is a last minute change?? Andy

How many rigs are expected to be there with this Marlin Crawler thing going on ??
It can't be much worse than the last weekend we were up there and the Auburn Jeep club was having some kind of Jeepers Jamboree. We're going to play it as it goes and we end up camping just about anywhere Saturday nite. I'd sure like to camp somwhere close to the Sluice Box thoough cause there'll probably be a lot of action Saturday nite.

I will start by saying ''No meanness intended'', but you guys suck. It is bad enough that we have to cut trees down to find stuff to climb over and here yall are just chatting it up every Thursday night trying to decide which badass trail you are gonna hit. I tell ya it just aint fair dammit!

I work for one of, if not the biggest petrochem plant corp in the world and, even with company discount on gas, still cant afford the fuel to drive that far trailering a 40. But thanks for the invite.
If I get really lucky, I might be able to swing it in a year or so.
