Post Okay on the chopping block

Yeah I know for sale section, but I've never had any luck there. I currently have a set of Spectre nerf bars (never been used) $140 OBO, a ConFerr tube front bumper w/winch mount $100 OBO and a rollcage (stock rear and front halo with 2 spreaders and overhead cb mount) make me an offer.

What's up? I was just thinking that I needed to get ahold of you to say hello. No I'm dropping the 40 off at Fat City for a complete new cage tomorrow and it's time to start cleaning out some of stuff I'm not going to use. How's that motor swap going? Also what do you know about rebuilding FJ 60 steering boxes? Is it worth it to do at home? Yes the regear and lockers are rapidly approaching.

Hey Ken,

Glad to hear you've got rolling on the cage. You'll have to bring it by when it is done. Tim has found an engine and tranny for his swap, now he needs to find a split case as his was full of chunks and at one point, someone had welded, yes WELDED the PTO/Input gear back together where it had broken at the hub Scary!

The steering box overhaul is really easy. The main thing is to take your time. The hardest part I've found on those is the main seal at the control valve input shaft - A lot of times that seal is really stubborn. Just takes some patience so that you don't scratch up the input shaft trying to dig the seal out of the bore. Do you have a shop manual? If not I can copy the pages for you...Just lemmie know.

Sloan,
How much for the halo and spreaders?

My buddy in Gardena could handle the shipping out here to Hoosierland for you.

Just how much is your 400 gonna grow??????
