where to get FF rear for 82 FJ-40???
is SOR the best and most reliable place to get a FF rear or are there other places that have them. and which year FF would i need, just an 82???

I could probably tell you to do a search, but I won't...
SOR sells used FF rears for $450, and Man-A-Fre also sells 'em for around the same price but they also sell rebuilt ones for a bit more. Another good place to check and see what they've got is G&S Cruiser Parts up in Vancouver, WA. They have deals now and then. You're lookin' for one for an FJ40 right? Well, just an FYI, a 70 series axle is only like 15-20 mm wider than a 40 series one and a few people have adapted 70 series axles for under a 40--you just have to do something about the spring perches 'cause they're off that 15 mm or so. Not too bad. And if you get a 1990 or newer 70 series FF rear, you could end up with stock disc brakes with integrated park brake. Would be sweet. Talk to Mike"65fj45" here on the board. He has one for sale, all re-built and wants to get rid of it. Not sure what he wants to get for it.
