Post Brake problems - i think?

i've just butt 33x12.5 tyres on my landcruiser, it's a 74 with a 2.5" suspension lift, but otherwise fairly stock. Now with the new tyres as i brake all is fine until low speeds, just before i stop and the brakes feel like they're pulsing or like the wheel has to much inertia on one side. It's a little unnerving. also there is a bit of a clunking sound which only happens during braking and slows down as i slow down. I know this sounds stupid, but i just want to fix the problem before something actually breaks - for a change. Any help please......

thanks <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">
