Post outboard bracket pics?

What happened to all the posts with the outboarded brackets? I am going to be building mine now and need some patterns. If somebody could help me out with some pics and ideas, that'd be great. Thanks!
Jesse

I'm talking about the front springs for a D44, of course. Thanks.

Those are some beautiful pics, Shawn. Thanks! I had seen the pics of your Cruiser flexing a bit, but no close ups like these. I have a question, though. Have you had any problems with the steering? Did you reweld new perches on the axle or did you just use the stock perches? I had just planned on using the stock ones, but thought that I'd have to build some rock-finding front brackets to keep the spring flat where it sits on the axle. It doesn't look like your front hangers hang down all that low and I was just curious how that was working out for you. Do you drive it much on road? Thanks in advance.
Jesse

Oh, before I forget, by any chance do you have a write-up or does anybody know of one that would help me out? I looked at IH8Mud's site and it had some good articles, but I didn't see much on outboarding hangers. Thanks again.

Back again. I feel stupid cuz I noticed that you didn't do a shackle reversal. I guess some of the same questions apply, but I'll leave them in case somebody with outboarded S/R reads this. I was planning on doing the s/r at the same time, but I'm not convinced. I might just do it similar to Shawn's. Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled program.

Does outboarding brackets reduce axle wrap much? Seems like it would. I guess it would also move the springs away from the pumpkin and make an SOA on an fj40 a little easier, right?

I know "mike" on this board used some angle iron on his CJ5 to outboard his spring hangers for a Wagoneer D44 swap. He also did a SR at the same time. Send him a message and I am sure he will send you some pictures. He may even have them uploaded on this BB.
