NWC Clean up & some wheelin pics
The Northwest Cruisers of Idaho, participated with SIDRA, South Western Idaho Dirt Racers Assoc, in a clean up of the Owyhee front. There were other, volunteers from various groups as well. At the end of the day, it was scary how much trash accumulated at the tipping station. The BLM coordinated and scheduled the station to be open and empty for Sundays clean up...It was overflowing at the end of the day
Of course there had to be some wheelin too.... Cruiser Ken & family

The damn morman crickets were out in full force! If you haven't witnessed this, there's no way to describe it...It's like a B movie, horror classic, where the swarm invades the town folk

It was a good day. I can't think of hardly anything better. Pretty amazing when one's idea of a good day is going and picking up trash. Weather was great, the people surrounding me were awesome Cruiserheads, and what better cause. The BLM rep said something to me that sort of shocked me, "It is sad that the clubs come out and clean up the trash, because the people associated with a club are not the people who are dumping the trash." He also said, "People who are in clubs take better care to stay on the trails." For me this was real positive for not only our club but the other clubs that we share this area with. Now all we need to do is work together to keep the knuckleheads from screwing it up for us. The BLM rep gave me 100 trash bags. We only used about 15 because most of the stuff was larger than trash bag sized. He told me to keep them for our trail rides so we could do informal clean ups anytime we want. I'm sure that NW Cruisers will do this again.

He did pretty well, the Cruiser had some carb problems and had to get a yank on the first major incline. Fuel injection
I must say that Jesse's carb never misses a beat. I think it is how he has the fuel regulated, adjust on the fly. I thought that was pretty cool.

part of it is the carb, part of it is what has been done to the carb and part of it is the regulator
I'm going to set mine up that way too... So was Todd's Wheel base an issue at all on the intro or just the carb problem?

Wheelbase could have been a slight problem on the opening obstacle for Todd. I think he would have nailed it if it wasn't for the carb. He was really close a few times. Jesse had mentioned that he might be too short. He took some slightly different lines than Jesse. I've been going over it over and over in my head trying to figure out the correct line for an 80. I'm determined that I will go do it, but I'm not going to do it on an official run until I figure it out. No sense holding up a group with a big boat stuck in the stream. I wish Jarod was around because I'd like to see what lines he took.
