cruiser booty or my new project

here are a few shots of my new project .. i started by narrowing the ass end 20"
and the mid section 8" .....

i am using madrel bent 2x4x.120 for the front subframe and 1 3/4" tube for the rear frame section

tbi v6 / turbo4/atlas II 5.0
d44 front / t100 rear
full hydraulic steering
four link front and rear with cantilever bell crank adjustable suspension

anyway here is the start
notice that a single rear stock 40 swing gate fits nicely for my new 20" narrowed drop gate

cause i wanna be cool

actually with the mid and rear sections narrowed i have very little to hang up on
also i dont need to cut the rear wheel wells out since they are outside the body i also forgot to mention that i am raising the door sils up 2" for more clearance

i am building a new frame because this frame is tweaked pretty bad from a hard roll over

i am using a v6 tbi for its reliability and light wieght , an auto so i can burn rubber on the rocks and an atlas cause the stock t/case suck major ass

a full cage to protect my arse from bad things .....

i got more reasons if you like but those are the majority btw this is not street driven poser rig .

and last but not least .i inovate not imitate

Send a message via ICQ to Cruiser Ken
There are a couple of people making cruiser hoods for crawlers already. DM2 has fiberglass hoods with high clearance small fenders. Rugburn is getting together some type of hood as well (some cool nearly indestructable material that I can't remember). In case you don't want to reinvent the wheel.

Awesome! You'll have all the advantages of a buggy, but it will have a lot more of a Cruiser left than a bezel. What a cool way to have a one piece tailgate! Great work!
