ever come accross this...

...the tabs are to short! one lens came with the correct tab length, other came with a shorter tab. the shorter tabbed one, WILL NOT fit into the housing correctly. the longer tabbed one, fits PERFECT! i called ARB, and they told me i mustve gotten an older lens with the longer tabs. htey told me the shorter tabbed ones are all they have. anyone come accross this, and if so, how do i fix it?

I think so.........forget what I did about it or maybe it was that the tabs were offset so that the light didn't sit level...........if so I made it work.....I think

I just received some Hella replacements the other day and they had the same tabs on them. But it shouldn't matter, the headlight retaining rings should hold it in.

Dont' they rotate and fit? IPF hasn't been out long enough to be old. The retainer ring holds most of them in place.

nawww, the silver "thingy" that goes around the lens itself, was sinched down as far as i could get it. its DEFINATELY the tabs! hopefully ARB can tell me what to do.

yeah, the lens rotates, but all (3) tabs are to short to fit inot the "tab housing" area. if the tabs were longer (like the other one they sent me) there would be a spot where the lens stops. and when the sliver ring is tightened, it makes a nice/tight fit. NOT!

Hmm My hella's are sitting in the basement. In a box as are most of my parts waiting to go on! Weird problem.. HOw bout some bubblegum behind the tabs? That would be a pretty original fix! Just kiddin.. Call ARB and have em ship you a new one!

yeah, thats what i finally did, called ARB. hell bubblegum, DID come to mind...hehe
