Anyone wheel near Lake Shasta, CA

I have a family reunion out Near Lake Shasta, CA and am considering taking one of my FJ40s. The trip will not be untill June just putting some feelers out there. Not looking for hardcore just easy stuff so the Family can enjoy the outdoors. I will be coming from the East and crusing around for a week or two. Thanks for the INFO.

There are a few places. You will have better luck posting this on Gen 4x4. most of the stuff to me understanding is fire roads with a few small rocks. But you are in the Sierra's, so I am sure there has ot be something.

There are a million old mining/logging roads in that area.

You should not have any trouble exploring.

Stop on by the town of Etna. Get me some Etna ale too

Mt. Shasta is part of the Cascade Range, actually, though near the north end of the Sierras and also near the Trinity Alps. Why not purchase more reliable info than word of mouth? 4x4Books has several off-road guidebooks listed for California. If you have relatives in Calif that wheel, you could give them the book upon your return departure.
