Sure would be nice if the guy could take a CLEAR pic. It almost looks like the warehouse that Vintage has?

Vehicle Description

RARE!!! and ORIGINAL!!!

Vehicle Condition

This vehicle has a rebuilt 6 cylinder F1 engine with 0 miles on it! It has been painted Jaguar British Racing Green (sorry Toyota! - my favorite) with a clear coat top for long term protection. The undercarriage has been treated with POR 15, and the inside of the bed has been sandblasted and treated with Rhinolining like covering. The interior is new as well. New Tires.

Is it just me, or does the vehicle description of ORIGINAL!!! contradict the vehicle condition (Jaguar paint, POR, Rhinolining, new interior)?

I dunno, for a completely rebuilt 3 speed with no core, $600 doesnt sound out of control.

I like the basecoat/clear coat...especially on the brake and clutch pedals. Never thought about clear coating the pedals, hmmmmm.
Not even a body off resto.

gotta say that 25 looks damn clean even thru the crappy pics. Besides having been painted at sometime(unless the firewall is suppose to be gray) Even has the fj25 wheels......those are cool

wonder if that mat is original?

anyone know if the shifter parten plates were on the dash and not the pocket on a 25?

sure the white dash bits are not correct.

pretty cool rig.

nope, the firewall, the tub, and even the frame are all supposed to be body color.

frame? really?

wheels are also suppose to be body colored and maybe they are, looks like the same as the firewall color, which seems like an odd color to paint the 25.

I asked for some better pics, bet I get a respose like the 45LV guy gave

yes frame too. Cruisernerd schooled me on the painting techniques of a 25 when I was bidding on the resto project for that white one that I posted a while back. We verified it on that one. It used to be painted the dark green. After a little work getting some dirt off the frame in various places, the frame was also painted dark green. They also used red zinc oxide primer from the factory.

I have seen the green FJ45 in person, but am in no way affiliated with it. It was in the summer of 1998 in Wilmington, NC. There is a garage in Wilmington near Carolina Beach where this guy apparently gets a lot of his work done. I was riding by and saw the 45, so I stopped to check it out. There was the green one (in the same condition it's in now) and a white one there that had just been painted. They both appeared to be very solid and straight trucks. There was also the remains of an FJ45LV, a couple of FJ40s that looked like parts trucks, and a nicer FJ40. I talked to the guy at the shop, and he said this guy has a collection of Land Cruisers in a warehouse near Wrightsville Beach, which is just outside of Wilmington. He didn't give me the guy's name or any contact info, but said he lives "up north." He claimed that one of the 45s was from Arizona and the other was from Australia. I have been past the shop a couple of times since I first saw the 45s there in '98, and there are usually several Cruisers sitting around in a fenced in lot.

The 25 is sporting a later model engine. Note the 68 air cleaner, and lack of front saddle mount in the engine compartment.

Still a nice enough looking rig. Good luck Mike.
