Getting Reflectors off 1971 FJ55 rear.
How do you get the round red reflectors and trim pieces off the rear of early model FJ55's? All of the other lights have screws. I can turn the trim piece, but nothing happens. When I pull on it the bottom it seperates slightly, but doesn't give. I don't want to break this piece so any help would be great.
Thanks, Ryan. |

it might have the funny nut/stud setup that the emblems have. iirc, one of my old pigs did. if so, just plan on it breaking now.

Remove rear side panels and dig your way down into the little space where no-ones hands should fit, and remove the nut/ or clip that holds it there. I removed mine a few years back to paint my rig, and somehow got them off. You may have to use a kid or a ladies hand (no joke) to reach in there to reinstall, or remove for that matter. good luck.
