Need to know fitting size asap!

Hi all, Happy new year!! I need to know the fitting sizes for an 85 toyota pickup power steering box. The guys at Williams kinda screwed me up and put the totally wrong fittings on my hoses and didn't return the line I gave them to copy the fitting size from. Near as I know it's a 16mm metric fitting but I'd like to verify before I go down there tomorrow morning. They're telling me I have to bring my ps box in. Another question...would the fittings from an IFS box be the same? I have a spare one of those already out of a truck ( my nephews). Thanks!

For what its worth it is a the same size fitting as a Land Cruiser 1938 through 1990 (and probably later). the size of the wrench is a 16mm but not sure the size of the fitting. Pretty sure it is metric though...

I don't know the size either, but the high pressure thread is smaller than the return fitting on an '85 box. Might as well bring the box in.

Hi Pinhead,
Any Idea if an IFS box has the same fittings? My build situation is a bit wierd as the automotive facilities at our cabin are much better than the gravel driveway at home...but it's six hours away and kinda remote. Have an IFS box available here tho.

I would be surprised if they are different. I have both types of boxes in trucks sitting in my driveway, but I don't want to go out and check for sure because it is raining hard. Maybe later.

Thanks Pin Head...by different thread sizes are you referring only to thread pitch or the diameter as well?
