Toyota Dyna BU30 and Daihatsu Delta V22-H 1978-1984 website.

Hi,

Great forum! I own the Toyota Dyna and Daihatsu Delta 1978-1984 website.
The Dyna BU30 has the Toyota B Series 2977cc Diesel engine like the Toyota Landcruiser BJ40.

The url is: http://toyotadyna.tripod.com/

My e-mail is: toyotadyna@eircom.net

You might be interested in this truck if you like the landcruiser BJ40.

Thanks,
ToyotaDyna

Well....I have to respect another Toyota lover....but unless they make those box vans in 4wd or you have some video of them blowing up, I really don't have any interest.

Hi Killerpee,

Ok I take your point, but they are made in 4wd also but not many.

Thanks for replying,

I dont know..... I think they would make a cool tow vehicle/portable workshop...

Plus, I think that FF rear might make for interesting swap.....And IIRC, some years of Dynas they may have used R151 trannies, with the low 5.-something import 1st gear.....And like ToyotaDyna said, they have "B" motors in them....could always use one to convert something with an F....

I wonder if one would fit in a 1st or 2nd gen Hilux?...

Too bad only a handful of them were ever imported around here... Oh well.

So you're from Ireland, huh... welcome aboard

Interesting looking trucks, I don't think we ever got these things in the US market. I know I have never seen one in the states.

Killerpee,

I don't have any pictures of a 4x4 BU30 but if I find any of the truck or drivetrain I will post them here.

I have a link to a website about the newer Toyota Dyna BU297 4wd.

Just read an article about the current Dyna for japanese market : seems to be available with a diesel/hybrid powerplant. Now that would be cool http://www.toyota.at/news/01272/cont.php?sek=1&mod=0

Your link was too deep, better use:

)

Btw, nice flood of new fire-fighter pix here:

http://buschtaxi.org/cgi-bin/ikonboa...1491&start=100

(plus 1 high-reach truck, and the suggestion that a possible camper-conversion could exist (but might be confused with an 'ordinary' Dyna 4wd's, (the BU-297 uses the MegaCruiser drivetrain! (but alas, only 8 of those were made, plus the white demo pickup in the brochure))
