Can't believe it! I just made a comment about the 45lwb that was spotted in the Canadien weeds and today I got a call from the owner of a 40 that I had been leaving notes on for a year. He had been living in Cali and returned without a job and needed to turn his power on(-4 today). Little hard to get through our winters without heat. anyway, it's mine now. There has got to be something in the air...I need to head for Vegas before it leaves.

40
I did end up paying $1,000. It had been a one owner rig and was sitting about seven years. I was pretty much stuck at the 1,000 because that was how much he needed to turn the power on. Motor does run and he had the tires on his horse trailer...they came with the deal. He said he has had at least 30 people try to buy it over the years, but never wanted to let it go.
plans are to copy that olive brown 40 that is on the CCOT calender...yes, I did actually see something on the pictures other than their models. When it rains, it pours. I had just paid 4,050 for the 40 on Ebay the night before. I guess I had better get all my impulse buying done before my girlfriend becomes my wife. She has been accepting, but not crazy about the whole cruiser deal...could have something to do with me turning my exgirlfriend on to a fj55 she drives around town. I have even offered her my 45 wagon as a town Cruiser when it is done. Dukes |
