second try..custom FJ rear bumper?
I grabbed some of these parts from work. They are V-beams (torsion beams) for the rear end of the new Chevy Cobalt and whatever else GM builds on that platform. Material thickness is .190" and they are about 42" long. I am going to cut the ends off of one and fab a custom rear bumper/frame channel for my BJ42. I was also thinking of cutting some down to size and fabbing driveshaft guards with mounting brackets. These stampings are heavily robust and look cool too. What do you think? Any other possible uses? Here's the pics of the part.
