Thumbs up Rat70 Transformation, maybe to Mouse70

2F to 350 TBI swap. Motor curtousey of Georg. Heavy lifting ie. most of the actual work by Nathan Haynes of Really Sick Rigs in Placerville. I'm just the parts runner/pressure washer/painter.

Gifu and Rubirnr prepare to re-anchor Jer's 40. They're hauling away the 2F! Jer looks happy, hope he stays that way, Brian looks a bit skeptical!

Cavernous hole created by F motor pulling. Old mounts stripped. This conversion will never approach the level of Phil's but it should be fun.

New LUK clutch kit from Georg. Does anyone one have the lower half of the bellhousing/dustcover available?

Looks great! This board needs more build ups like this.

What are you running behind it?

Ramshorns clearanced for valve covers ala Texican. Thanks Butch! Painted with a 25 year old can of Kalgard Headercote. Supposedly good for 1400 degrees. Looks good now but we'll see.

Youre having someone else do all the fun stuff?!!!

I think that cover is available from the dealor still. You'll also need the front piece of the cover that mounts to the motor itelf, and connects to that bottom inpsection cover.

That would be the "time" part. Left to my own devices and motivation, I'd be fawking with this thing for a year. Rain is real tough on the motivation factor and it's been rainin' like a mofo the past week!

yeah. I deffinitely understand about the rain! Its a little sketchy welding in my driveway when its raining! Doing a motor conversion and SOA in the driveway isnt optimal.

We'll have to race for pink slips Kent! V8 against V8

Looks great!

Now you got that tranny hump back to stock, you need to go 3 on the tree!

Glad you started this thread Kent. You just got to 'tweak' something about this to give it the true RAT flavor.

Maybe some 2x4s.
