.

looks perfect to add a giant lift, and 44's.... wouldn't be nearly as tipsy as the original chass... on trails you might have trouble fittin though :P...

Lets see: Either stretch the body to fit full-size axles or just swap in full-size axles on the current one. Sounds like a lot of trucks out there...

As far as being too wide for trails: I don't buy it... Width is width, no matter if its wheels sticking out, or body panels.

Reorx, I've been on trails with my FJ62 where the Cruiser would physically NOT fit through an obstacle without opening up the body like a can of tuna! One time I was following a few friends on FJ40's, including Rabid Dan from this forum; I watched them go through two huge granite boulders on an off-camber trails, three FJ40's in a row. I tried following then....*wham!*, FJ62 stuck between the two boulders, off camber, not moving forward or backward! Had to winch it backwards, then put one wheel on the smaller of the two boulders and try that line, luckily the truck tilted opposite to the off-camber grade, or I would have needed another winch to anchor the side of the truck.

i've got pics of it from a couple of years ago...only thing it would be cool for would be a monster truck.

NO ONE thought the school bus would get through that trail. Damned if it didn't squeak through, though.

Rod Mullen (the race driver, not Rob) built one for Toyota from a FJZ100 chassis and a fj45 troopie body with some custom body work to widen the body and fenders. I actually ran into him loading it up at the local hardware and I almost fell out of my seat. I got a personal tour of it and it is way cool. It looked like an FJ45 wagon on steroids. It actually got written up in one of the off road magazines too.

I actually thought about doing somthing similar a while back when i had the fj40 i couldent sell
but i wanted to make into a hauler for my other rigs
with a nice wide stance like that would be nice and stable
that one looks a little short though
i thought it might be kinda cool to tow my toys, with a rig that still looked sorta like a toy
but i like to have weard stuff that no one has
