Diesel on my mind

I want to stick an Isuzu duramax in my 40!
These things have been around a while now and seem to be holding up better than the old 6.2's and 6.5's.
Also I hear the Allison transmission works wonderfully with this engine.
Has anyone tried to shove it in a cruiser yet?
How hard would it be to adapt the allison it to a cruiser t-case?
Is the duramax dimensionally bigger than a gas big block?
I'd love to have that power and drive 40" tires with just stock 4:11 gears.
Maybe I'll just have to settle for a noisy cummins diesel with a nv4500 and an orion t-case. I know that's been done before.

don't know if the 40 frame is stout enough. iirc a 2500hd frame is like 2x8 channel i may be wrong but it's a beefy ass frame.

This is what is holding GM back from even getting the dmax in the Surburban. It would be intrestring to see what can be done with some creativity though. It might fit better with a manual.

I have seen a troopie with one in it. It is not finished, but it is huge I think it would be to long in a 40. The stock gm intercooler is as wide as the grill and both fender, to the outside of the fenders.
