Diesel on my mind
I want to stick an Isuzu duramax in my 40!
These things have been around a while now and seem to be holding up better than the old 6.2's and 6.5's. Also I hear the Allison transmission works wonderfully with this engine. Has anyone tried to shove it in a cruiser yet? How hard would it be to adapt the allison it to a cruiser t-case? Is the duramax dimensionally bigger than a gas big block? I'd love to have that power and drive 40" tires with just stock 4:11 gears. Maybe I'll just have to settle for a noisy cummins diesel with a nv4500 and an orion t-case. I know that's been done before.

I have seen a troopie with one in it. It is not finished, but it is huge I think it would be to long in a 40. The stock gm intercooler is as wide as the grill and both fender, to the outside of the fenders.
