What U-joints are on the FJ40
Does anyone know what part# or spicer model U-joints are on the FJ40?

I know they got bigger in '74.
I believe it is the 72, but maybe I'll need #'s for both the 72 and 74...

Let me parrot what I've heard here on Pirate and before from various sources:
There is no u-joint stronger than Toyota supplier u-joints on a Toyota driveshaft. I don't know if Toy u-joints are the strongest for Toy driveshafts, but I do run them since I still have LandCruiser driveshafts. ![]() Maybe someone could verify or correct me.

Toyotas ujoints are very very strong. Just be sure to get a Toyota ujoint. A aftermarket probably will not fit very well. I had one making noises and spinnig the cap after install because it was not a Toyota ujoint.
