Tom, I guess there is no time like the present( do I have a choice?) Alcans are ordered (thanks for the part number by the way) Atlas 2 5.0 sitting at my house, Dana 60's HP front and rear with ARB's, Chevy power 350 as a mule engine mild HP for now, 300 Plus, I decided to go with a SM 420 because I have 4 in the shop, parts wont be a problem, Allied beadlocks with 44 TSL's, and the build is under way, I wanted to get a little further in the process before I posted so thanks for the shove , It's all I can do to four link the thing but that would mean going backwards, as for when it will be done?? we'll be breaking it in in the snow

What I was looking for was a all purpose rig that would hold up to abuse, just good old reliabilty, I look at Tom's (Gunmetalcruz's) rig as one that get's wheeled more than most and holds up very well, I think buggy's are cool but at this point it's not my bag, most say go auto, I'm kind of old school, autos are nice but more complex, let me see you bump start an auto, So for this rig I'm going with a stick, I'll post pic's soon

Here are a few pics of the 65 build that we just started, in the process of grinding to bare metal, welding all holes and getting the body ready for paint
The tub was fairly rust free Last edited by vonzipper; 12-02-2005 at 10:21 PM. |
