im a few days into a build on a '70 FJ40 that belongs to a friend of mine. i swapped in a disc brake front axle from a '77 FJ55. also did a 4" lift kit. swapping in the 2F engine out of the FJ55 also, along with a GM column, power steering conversion, and power brakes. im also gonna do a complete new wiring harness. some idiot welded the top to the tub at some point, so i had to cut it off with the plasma cutter. gonna try and get the new top-to-body mounting flanges fabbed up this weekend. heres a few pics...
