I need more info? the 68 axle could be a ball and claw and coarse spline and the 74 axle is fine spline and has a berf.

74 might be fine spline at third but may still have 6 spline drum birfs. The driveline bolt patterns may be different as well. The brake line fittings will be different and the steering end at bottom of drag link is different.
