Canadian FJ40???
The 78 FJ40 I wanted to purchase came from Canada and was manufactured in Germany
Somebody give me a history lesson on foreign FJ40's The current owner is in the process of getting the title. Will there be any liscencing issues with this truck??? will he be able to get a clean title??? |

What is the VIN? Maybe someone can do a VIN search for you...

Yes....I will be able to get a clean title.
It is a commom procedure for DMV's in the USA to do a "stolen search" on vehicles brought over from Canada. Since I have a clean title from the previous owner, this is not a problem, its a formality. FYI, while I was doing the title application here in Minnesota on this truck, they did an NCIC check on the vehicle while I waited, if the result of that was negative, I would have not been issued plates, which I now have.
