Amazing thread! Just had to share this one though its kinda outa place with the majority of rigs here, but I am into the four door 40 idea these days. These guys seemed to have done a good job, though probably only for Warren Buffect and friends

I was floored by the body work and clean engine swap. It was custom built to the customers requests and lucky for me the PO just drove it on the street ![]() I just don't think Shannon could do a mild build so this is what he did. I'll take it off your hands. Yeah, I know, "you'll have to kill Sheila first." Not gonna do that...

I'd like to know how the rack is attached to the roof... I guess it's thru the soft top? Kinda lame considering those tops are a mint from tlc

My FJ40
First post. A couple of shots of an ongoing FJ40 rebuild project.
The donor "was" a 1984 FJ40 soft-top, which has been lifted, lengthened, broadened and modified to the extent that only the floor-pan of the original tub is the same (but just barely). Some of the stuff done, thus far:- SOA. Extended shackles. Extended wheelbase. 60 Series diffs, with 7/37 ring-pinions. 60 Series leaf springs. 15/42/15 Super Swamper TSLs. Rancho shocks and steering stabilizers. Engine swap - 2F petrol to 1HZ diesel. Transmission swap. Interior roll cage. Sparco 5 point harness seats. Body mods - four full doors, four pipe doors, removable hard-top, rear pickup tub (removable), custom-made front mudguards and rear wheel arches, nudge-bar/side-step. Some still-planned activities:- Turbo-charging / inter-cooling the 1HZ. ARB air lockers. ARB snorkel. Upright "chimney" exhaust in the rear of the tub. Paint (perhaps! )um...ok. I guess newbies don't get to post pictures? The rebuild thus far; chronicled below... http://www.pakwheels.com/forums/4x4-...ity-sadar-road Last edited by Fouad; 06-28-2012 at 10:38 PM. |
