I'll be intersted to see the replies on this one as well, since I'll be doing this soon too. I'm pretty sure AA has some but not sure of the others and most buildups I've been seeing have them custom fabbed to be similar to the chevy mounts. One thing I'm worried about is clearance for the Chevy power steering I just installed. The joint the box barely clears my existing motor mount and I wanted to move the new v8 foward.

I used some universal mounts first but am tearing them out now.

Get some 3 hole plates that mount to the engine and them some poly bushings and weld some tube to it. This way is better because it puts less stress on the engine.

ya know, asside from building something trick, advanced adapters mounts are tried and true. their new bushings are allot better than the ones from YEARS ago. keep your exhaust and fluids away from the pucks, and they will last a looooong time.

my vote, AA

edit: AA= Advance Adapters

the first wont give you much for adjustment (side to side)

I have seen the second ones used a couple times,.... I guess it depends how low your rig is if it will clear or not?

hmmm

I still say AA

Build your own

1/4" flat plate with the bolt pattern, .125 wall tubing, bushing mount, and tabs coming off the frame to the bushing mount.

My vote is for the ole school AA units as well. Thats what I run and so far so good. The rear crossmember at the t-case is where you want to invest your time and thoughts.

That isn't old school..

I have a horseshoe mount in the garage that mounts to the stock engine mounts.. It actually worked pretty dang good, and hell, it was on there for 7+ years.

Not that I know of... I will be making my own motor mounts when I install my 6.0L vortec into my '64 FJ45LV.

I will use 1/4" plate at the motor, 2" x .125 DOM SRA for the tubing, an XJ bushing pressed into a hub shell and then scab plate the frame with tabs running off of that.
