All these years, i just did not know what I was missing!

Picked up Kate on Friday and wheeled her on Saturday at this new ranch in Katemcy Texas.

It is a BAD ASS place!

The Cruiser group split up when we go there due to the fact that our vehicles are all set up differently.

TXCruiser came over and rode shotgun with me for 1/2 day. The fuel injection took a dump about 5 hours into the day and would not stay running. It would throw a code and then shut off.

If I kept the engine loaded up it did not happen. Oh well, what are the odds of that being right the first time.

Should be an easy fix.

Looks like a lot of fun! I'm gonna have to get that SM465 stuffed into my truck real soon!

Maybe I should find a Chevy 350 someplace and have my V8 too! I can setup Chevy TBI systems in my sleep. No I'm not advertising, just bragging.

Think I made a mistake not stuffing it in the cruiser???

(remember, the turbo is on the boat right now though)

Hey Nolan,
I have loved my V8 for about 15 years now. I'm doing the TBI conversion now. Wish I had found a complete engine instead of trying to marry new parts onto older block. Would have been much sweeter, and I could have sold the 327.

Woohoo! Glad to see that she's alive! My friend had a problem with his motor that sounded like yours... wouldn't run unless it was above 3k and near WOT.. was a bad spark module...

The pics looks awesome.. I want my cruiser to grow up and be just like yours one of these..decades!

And nice spring hanger! Is that one of those new W's designs?

Less than ever actually....I have one more crossmember than before.

I now have one under the tranny, one behind the transfer that the traction bar is tied to and one over the rear axle.

Once I tie the cage to the frame it will be as good as I can ask for.

Those 42's and D60's are a ton of unsprung weight you know

BTW, Did she get another paint job to fix the damage done in Moab?

I'm planning on coming down to wheel with you either in Spring or fall. Probably fall if we do Los cruces..

Cruces is in Feb.

No I just did a little touch up after Moab...there was very little damage.

I did not wheel long enough to turn over

Good to see you back out playing. Don't get discouraged, took me 3 months of tinkering to really figure out the little quirks with my TBI. Just need to address my fuel starvation issue. Seems to surge and hesitate a bit. Think I may build a surge tank like what was posted here earlier. I'm working on getting there for the weekend of the Harold Stephens meeting. What an opportunity! Any wheeling going to go on that weekend? If so, I'll tow my 40 behing the motorhome and just camp out for a few days. Let me know.
