So the order of business Tues night was to get the alignment done and get my heavier main coilover springs on. Without a proper car lift things got interesting getting the springs on. I dont know how the heck I got them on in the first place.
First Mike (boots) explained to me in great detail on how to set up the "alignment" bars that we made and how they work... and after about 10 mins of his detailed explanations the info finally sunk in and I understood what we were doing. lol ![]() ![]() Next was the main springs. With a 3 link, the axle moves laterally in an arc depending on compression or droop. Since the new main springs were a bit taller than the previous set up that meant that the axle shifted to the frame side panhard mount. This meant that the panhard had to be removed and lengthed to compisate for the added ride height ( sad about this). After a few hairy moments we got the springs back on but the axle was difficult to move because the wheels on the floor jacks were bound up. SOOOOO.... I got to use my new tool: ![]() ![]() Great little winch and I can see it being handy for a variety of things. also got my new dash completed although I'm still not happy with it. I wish I had a mill. ![]()

Lol. Cutting those things is like cutting an umbilical cord.
It will happen its just that they make such an easy point to set jacks under that I haven't got to it yet. Those and my retarded square tube sliders are on the cut list soon. I feel better about cutting them now that the alignment and spring rates are done. ![]() I am also in the process of getting it on a dyno to do some tuning on the powerjection 3. I'm really not concerned about how much power it is making but more interested in getting a good tune that won't have trouble starting during "snow wheeling" season.

yes, it was fun... not something that I would want as a commuter though. Full hydro on the street can get interesting. Doable but interesting.

Glad to see you get the 60 on the road again. It is a great feeling to finally get a build on the road/trail.

overall I'm pretty happy. It sits a bit taller than I had hoped for but I'm not going to change anything for awhile. I just want to enjoy it this summer. Hydro Brakes work great with zero issues with steering, steering works good, burns rubber REALLY well (although I need a traction bar)... cant wait to get it out on the trail. Just started on the wheel well voids and the bumpers this morning.
my littles are happy too

As crazy as this might sound but one of my most prized possessions in life is most likely going to be up for sale. Yes, I mean big blue. Circumstances in my life are changing right now and I am more than likely going to need to part with her in favor of DD type of vehicle.
I have yet to determine a price because of the build nature of my 60 but I will get a price once a get a chance to sit down and add up some of the value of parts. I am open to all offers and trades at this point. This is not set in stone yet but is a likely scenario. I understand I will never re-coup the cost of what I have into it so my expectations on a trade or price are realistic. Please PM me with interest/trades. Zach

Here is a basic break down on parts used on the build. I was pretty conservative on pricing and did include things like shipping, labor, blood, sweat, tears.... Prices may be low in some areas or high in others. I'm not trying to make an exact price break down but something close. There is a ton that I am probably missing.

Sorry to see this up for sale.
Even more sorry to tell ya, if you must sell it expect to get 50-70% of your $$ back. Fact is, the economy still sucks and to sell anything in a reasonably quick fashion you will take a hard hit on the asking price.

Yeah, I don't expect to get that back by any means. I am trying to be realistic about my asking price.

That thing is totally bad ass, but I would'nt even know how to price it in this day... All I can say is that in the last 5 years I have let what I thought to be 20K plus rigs go for under 10K. It just is what it is, hate saying that though. But you never know, I have seen some sell for what they are worth. Good luck.

Did you ever watch a TV show and get to the series finale and say what the f$%#*$! f#$%....That's how I felt when I got to the last page of your build. I found this build through google "blue bomber fj60" cause that's what I'm calling my fj60 (all stock) and wanted to see if anybody else had one out there named that. Although it will never be as big and awesome as this one...It's a hoot to cruise around in. Sell a kidney already and keep this thing!!!

Cruiser has been sold. Just waiting for check to clear.
The good news is that the new owner is going to take over this thread so that we can all see it go to its full completion. I'll let him chime in when he is ready.
