69 Pig venting

Searched around a bit for pics, diagrams, etc. Didnt find what I was after

I have a 350 conversion done by 2 POs ago with the stock tank in my '69 piggy.

Was giving the pig some air. Running really well and this guy pulls up to me saying I have gas dumping out the right side. I have obviosly vented the wrong tube. Previously, the tube was capped and I guess it was a return of some sort? Best I can figure... when I would let off the pedal, gas would come rushing out of this tube (walked my street from when I came home and the gas trail was consistent with my assumption)

Which of the tubes are for venting? The passenger side of the tank has two tubes: one delivers the gas to the motor and the other appears it was for a return line of some sort (this is the one I had vented)? The driver side has 3 "nipples": the center one is capped and the two on either side of the center one are connected/lopped together. Is the center one on the passenger side supposed to be the vent? Getting a roll-over valve from summit when I track down the right f'n tube

Thanks!!!

Thanks Mike

Here was my new plan: Going to vent this to the intake. There will be a few "swirls" in the hose before it gets there and my it should take care of any gas smell/fumes. Any advice?

I've heard of other people doing this so I dont think its dangerouse. Am I wrong? Just want to be safe and do it right.

OOPPS ! I looked at mine < all my nipples are pluged ! I used the one that is used for overflow (the 1 inch nipple ) when you fill up at the pump , I gave up on all the others , I had the same problem you had ,when the gas tank got hot the gas would expand , i.e. gas would come out the hose !
you gotta find someone with a empty tank , to research this for ya ? ....... my 2 cents

Thanks for looking Mike. My guess is that is why they are all plugged. Maybe I can "splice" in a breather to hose you are describing.

I was also playing around with the idea of a ball valve welded into the center of the gas cap (leveled out of course). Not really sure what that will take and may not even be possible.

Pooze - Thanks for the diagram. I saw that but the issue I am having is that it doesnt really "explain" what each port does (if that makes sense).

Edit: Almost forgot... it was good meet'n you a swap meet. I had the two little girls and was chatt'n with you about the seatbelts

The four hoses from the tank to part #45 vent the four corners of the tank, #15 is supply and return, the hose from the front to #45 comes from the charcoal canister (I think) and then you're left with the fill and overflow.

Thanks Mike

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking to go with a ball valve on the end of the breather to cure that problem. Although an actual inline cut-off valve may be idea as well.
